Late Mohammad Bin Hamad Ali Dossary, God bless his Soul, was one of the pioneer’s who implemented contracts for Saudi Arabia Oil Company (Aramco). Through his engagement with Aramco, he gained vast experience in contracting and subsequently established Al-Sharqiah Construction Company. Aiming at contribution to the people’s health and welfare, Mr. Al-Dossary built the Hospital in 1956 under the name of “AL-SHARQ HOSPITAL” which was operated by a specialized Company. The hospital has rendered health and medical services to the region citizens in general and to Aramco employees in particular. Over the year’s the hospital has been equipped with up to date appliances, machinery and equipments and has employed highly qualified medical staff. To sum up, the hospital has greatly contributed to the development of health and medical services in the Eastern Province.

In 1983, Mr. Dossary changed the Hospital name to “Mohammad Dossary Hospital” and this pioneer medical centre has continued to maintain the same humanitarian role for which it was established.
