MDH provides Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) service as modality treatment for renal stones. The procedure is anaesthesia free and lasts about 45 to 60.
RIRS
Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery (RIRS) is a modality of management for renal stones. We use Flexible ureteroscopy and laser for fragmentation of renal stones. The patient receives spinal or general anesthesia and stays 1 day in the hospital after the operation. It is used for renal stones that are not suitable for ESWL.
Urethroplasty
Urethroplasty is a reconstructive surgery for repair of urethral stricture. It is done under spinal or general anesthesia. Many techniques are used in this type of operations but the simplest one is resection-anastomosis Urethroplasty.
